Diego Berdakin

Diego Berdakin is the President of BeachMint, the Santa Monica based social commerce company he co-founded in July 2010 with Josh Berman. Backed by New Enterprise Associates, Trinity Ventures, Accel, Anthem, Scale & Goldman Sachs, BeachMint operates six direct to consumer sites that each offer exclusive product designed and curated by a celebrity and a style expert through a subscription shopping model.

Previously Diego was the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Product at Slingshot Labs. Slingshot Labs, a division of News Corporation, is a web incubator dedicated to building new Internet companies.

Berdakin holds a Bachelors of Science from Northwestern University in Political Science with a specific interest in campaigning on the social web.

Thomas McInerney

Venture Advisor

Thomas McInerney advises and invests in early stage Internet companies. His portfolio of angel investments includes over 30 companies which have collectively raised hundreds of millions in follow on capital and have had hundreds of millions in exits. Tom has a computer science background and began his career as an Engineer / Scientist at Apple’s Worldwide Research and Development Group in Cupertino California. After Apple Tom worked for Sony Information Technologies of America, helping to build and design the VAIO line of computers. Tom left Sony to become an entrepreneur, starting a search engine for Usenet, and later one of the first user generated video sharing sites, ShareYourWorld. Tom was an early investor in Klout, and also spent time as the COO helping the company raise money and scale up. He was an EIR at Trinity Ventures and is an advisor to NALA Investments – an early stage media and technology fund. He is a member of the National Council for the World Wildlife Fund.


Ricahrd Wolpert

Richard has been a pioneer in the fields of consumer digital media and entertainment for the last 20 years. Richard is the Founder of Chance Technologies, Inc., a technology development and investment portfolio focused on technologically driven entertainment ventures including GameSpy, GameFly, Smilebox, LookOut, Mob.ly, AdECN, Universal Audio, Zetta Systems, Digital Map Products, Intent.com, and AudioMill. Chance Technologies, Inc. was formed in 1994.In addition to managing Chance Technologies, Richard serves as a Venture Advisor to Accel Partners, helping them expand their portfolio in the area of consumer digital media. Richard also serves as an Executive Strategic Advisor to RealNetworks. In this capacity, Richard helps RealNetworks to continue the vision he helped pioneer while he was an executive with the company.Richard served as the Chief Strategy Officer of RealNetworks from 2000-05. Richard served as President of Disney Online from 1996-98, where he was responsible for the business and creative strategy for the company. From 1984-94, Richard founded and developed several thriving technology companies, including After Hours Software, Bit Jugglers, and Mind Over Technology, among others. Richard began his career at Apple Computer in 1984, where he was involved in the early development of the Macintosh. Richard has taught classes at both Stanford and UCLA, and he is a Board Member for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, where he is the Founder of CCFA’s camps. Richard also serves on the board of the UCLA School of Theater Film and Television and on the Board of Governors for Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Richard earned his degree in Math and Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles.


     

 

 

 

Dr. Donald Rosen

Dr. Rosen has more than 30 years of experience in radiology, including contract research and business development. He is the Chief Research Officer for the American College of Radiology, the principal organization of radiologists, radiation oncologists, and clinical medical physicists in the United States, with more than 30000 members.  He was the CEO of  ACR Image Metrix™ (ACRIM), a leading imaging Contract Research Organization (iCRO), provides imaging expertise and operational excellence to deliver timely and accurate imaging data to its pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device partners thereby facilitating the efficient and effective delivery of Phase I – IV clinical trials imaging services.  Before that he co-founded RadPharm, Inc., one of the first imaging CROs, in 1998 and served as its Co-CEO, board member and Chief Strategy Officer until 2008. Rosen has served on the Board of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, PA, the American Cancer Society and the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Princeton, NJ.
